The longer you walk, the more fat you will burn up.
Your muscles need sugar and the more intensive the exercise the more sugar is burned in comparison to fat.
By walking you maximize the amount of fat burned in comparison to sugar.

I dont think so. Protein is also a source of sugar; consuming lots of protein, you are consuming energy that is greatly converted into sugar and in some fat as well, which is a good combination for keeping your blood sugar at the right level.Thomas wrote:Is the only drawback of excess protein water retention, or does it actually hinder muscle development due to (albeit minor) fluctuating blood sugar?
