I tried a drumstick last night and let me tell you, the experience was horrible! I didn't know how to go about eating it. The meat was hard to chew. It felt so weird holding the drumstick. I thought I am eating a person's hand. There were also blood. I got frustrated and threw it away.
I have a few questions.
1) How do you go about washing the drumstick? Do you take off the layer of skin?
2) Which cuts are tender, easy to chew, do not have much connectivity tissue and tastes good(not bland) like salmon? The breast? The loin? The wing? Or some other cuts? I know that the drumstick is definitely not tender.
3) Do meat that are hard to chew contain anti-nutrients/enzyme-inhibitors?

Re: raw fresh turkey drumsticks
Huh? Why on earth would you want to eat drumsticks???
Best part of the chicken is the breast fillet. And even then I remove tendons (is that the right word?) etc.

Exactly; the drumsticks contain way too much connective tissue.
Even if i find just one strain of connective tissue in the fillet, i cut it out.
