Its "real" job?Novidez wrote:"We think of insulin as a blood sugar regulator, but its real job is to be a GROWTH HORMONE".
So, all its other functions are not real?
Dont you think that this is a silly comment?
If its function as a growth hormone would be its only job, then you would be right.what I understand from this sentence is that as we age, the less production of insulin, the best, since we do not need to grow anymore as baby for example. But this is my beginner and shallow interpretation.
However, insulin is widely accepted as a hormone with many functions (as are virtually all hormones).
That is not even a debate.
Just look at this first sentence.Novidez wrote:Things like this too: Fruit upsets the blood sugar level and causes excessive insulin release.
How much fruit are we talking about?
Is one bite enough to elicit these evil effects?
Is it a string of bites that will lead us to doom?
When does this happen? (under what conditions)
This first sentence is beyond any scientific understanding of how food consumption and insulin secretion are in a tango.
No scientist would write something like that.
This first sentence tells you that the writer is not a scientist.
