I haven't flossed in... awhile
and my dentist has never called me back for my next checkup in... 25 months, I dunno if I'm fired or whatever but scheduling is going to take some time.
I hear a lot of information regarding bleeding gums, anti bacterial mouthwash seems to be best, but what do you guys think?
I have never really used mouthwash much, should I add it to my health regimen short term or long?
surely some of the mouthwash has entered my body through saliva, should I be worried about this?
My gums are bleeding. Mouthwash?

Well, thats the cause of the bleeding gums;waipete wrote:I haven't flossed in... awhile
stuff that gets trapped between your teeth cause your gums to become inflamed and bleed.
It will imbalance the bacteria in your mouth, and that is not what you want.anti bacterial mouthwash seems to be best, but what do you guys think?
Your goal is to make the gums healthy again.
What do you need to do to make your gums healthy again?
First: remove everything that got trapped between your teeth (using floss/dental sticks).
Second: massage your gums so that the blood will flush away the inflammation and surplus of bacteria.
For this you need to use dental sticks / toothpicks.
Simply move a toothpick back and forward between 2 teeth, pressuring your gums.
Yes, it will hurt and cause bleeding, but thats good.
Massage the gums between all teeth, about 3 times a day.
After a few days you only need to massage them once a day and your gums will be healthy again.
Keep on using toothpicks / floss daily to keep your gums healthy.

Also when brushing use a circular motion and under an angle of 45 degrees at the beginning of your gums. brush slowly.
Smoking causes a lot of gum troubles..

I always brushed with the sweep from the gum, finished with a back and forth scrub.
I do smoke
What about brushing your gums, inner cheeks, inner/outer lips, roof, tongue.. under the tongue?
Re: My gums are bleeding. Mouthwash?
There are quite some bacteria on your tongue, due to its surface structure, which makes it worth brushing, indeed.waipete wrote: What about brushing your gums, inner cheeks, inner/outer lips, roof, tongue.. under the tongue?
Not so much on the rest, i think. (smooth surfaces)
