Re: Wikipedia.. Reshaping WaiSays.com

RRM, I have to take a second to point out that I think the word you are looking for is "sip", not "zip". But english speakers will understand what you mean either way. Just thought I'd mention it. I see "zip" used everywhere and sometimes smirk when I see it. ;) But maybe you really do mean to use "...

Re: Raw salmon (or other fish) combinations?

Originally posted by BlueFrog: Brian, why is salmon with a mix of olive oil, chives, and lemon (or lime) juice considered 'cheating'? Price of oranges / apples

Hi, So after being on this diet for a number of years I decided to start recording the price of oranges. I buy them by the case at a local wholesaler. I average approximately 10 cases per month. But this varies depending on the quality of the oranges and the availability of other fruits (mmm, mangoe...

Re: Raw fish; frozen, or not?

Hi Bluefrog, Don't worry, I'm not doubting you, just sharing my experience. A part of my heart breaks to hear that in many places in the US it is hard to obtain fresh fish. :( I should add that it's extremely hard to find a restaurant that will serve raw non-frozen fish in my city. Apparantly they t...

Re: Raw fish; frozen, or not?

Hi Bluefrog, While I live in Canada and not the US, I can perhaps offer my experience on this subject of sushi-grade fish. I have found that most places here offering sushi-grade fish (tuna, salmon, mackerel) do not freeze the fish despite the recommendation to do so by the Canadian equivalent of th...

Re: Raw Marinated Fish?

Hi Bluefrog, Also....I've read most of what's up on the old board, but there are many items that I can't read. I was really interested to see the discussion on olives and different curing processes -- which ones are better than others, etc. But, when I use the search item it pulls up several hits, b...

Re: potato/ tomato

Hi Bluefrog,

Perhaps I didn't understand your original question. But I will try to clarify what I meant.

Potatoe is not recommended as part of the sample diet.

But if someone chooses to eat it as a munchfood (or just in general) then not to combine it with fruit to avoid cramps.

Re: potato/ tomato

Hi Bluefrog,

They are discussing munchfoods.
That is, foods that they enjoy that do not adhere to the sample diet.

Potatoes are a munch food, (raw) tomatoes are okay.

As for the milk, we may be heading to a breakthrough: www.4.waisays.com/brief.htm RRM, Wai, and everyone else involved: congradulations! Those replies look extremely positive and it seems that finally people are taking notice. The publishing of an article in a proper medical journal would appear to...

Re: Raw salmon (or other fish) combinations?

Avocado is a very good combination with raw salmon. A mix of olive oil, chives, and lemon (or lime) juice is also quite nice as a dressing. But this won't help with the sliminess. You could also try grated or spiral cut daikon radish. This is a traditional Japanese pairing with sashimi. But it is a ...

Re: Favorite Sample Diet food

I'd have to say avocado wedges wrapped with fresh wild pacific salmon.

But durians are also delicious, and OJ with egg yolks can often be very very good.

Re: from raw to wai

have you ever heard of anyone having an intolerance to raw egg yolks? it doesnt really seem likely. maybe a sensitivity to protein? Yes... but I have only ever heard of it in when people first start eating the egg yolks. Never for an extended period. Mind you, I am not an authority. ;-) You can ref...

Re: Getting enough protein to increase muscles?

Hi, Does anyone have any experience with heavy training combined with this or a similar diet? As my acne is not that bad I don't mind if my diet is not 100% clean. I'm 6'2" and 88 kilos. Not too muscular, but a decent amount. I walk a couple hours per day and do some free weights 2 or 3 times per we...

Re: from raw to wai

Hi, One thing I can suggest is that if you're eating multiple types of foods around the same time, to be sure to eat them in proper order. The best is: sugars, then fats, then protein. Thus, if you want to eat an avocado, some egg yolk, and orange juice then eat them in order: orange juice first, th...
