Re: Giving some props; very soft skin, sleep,...

I definitely feel the softness. I don't know whether it's because of the diet, or due to the fact I that use walnut oil as my body lotion after every shower (either way, I'm happy!!). I can't believe I ever left my skin so dehydrated, etc. all these years by applying normal lotion (which dried my sk...

good munch food alternative for those who want pasta

They're called rice noodles/bean threads/vermicelli, depending on whether they're from rice-flour or bean starch, and contain 0% protein. They're packed together and transparent. (Asian markets/health food stores usually have them.) I hardly eat any munch food nowadays, and I think it's because I di...

Re: Wikipedia.. Reshaping WaiSays.com

I would be happy to edit/make corrections to the Wai pages (concerning the English grammar) if you need someone; I am a copyeditor for my college newspaper and have a few years of experience. I would be happy to help out!

Re: Raw fish; frozen, or not?

Thanks for the article!! When my grocer was cutting my salmon for me, I mentioned that I was going to eat it raw. He stopped what he was doing, very concerned, and gave me a long speech about how he didn't "feel comfortable" giving me fish that wasn't sushi-grade (for eating raw). He even gave me na...

Re: Fish, not frozen, but sealed in air-tight bag?

thanks Monique! I really want to try some mackerel, too, because I've never had any. So hopefully the fish from that grocery store is okay too eat (not "dirty")...they have little signs on the fish that say "not frozen!" and I was really excited about that. Although, I live in NYC, and I was reading...

Re: Raw fish; frozen, or not?

Hey Blue Frog, quick question: I thought "sushi grade" means just really fresh fish, or? Or does it really mean frozen (b/c people think it'll be less "dangerous" that way, if consumed raw)? Just wondering, thanks!

Fish, not frozen, but sealed in air-tight bag?

At the fish counter in the grocery store they said that they don't freeze their fish...they seal the fish in air-tight bags~ They're brought in from Chile and the Carribean (I'm in New York)...does that really work? Is it okay to eat? The salmon that I bought was delicious, very butter-y tasting. Th...

Re: silly; egg yolk & sliced banana

I really love sliced bananas with honey (the really raw kind, with bits of honeycomb still in it, is the best!) and a bit of olive oil mixed in, making it creamy.

It's so delicious and fulfilling, like the perfect dessert (except I eat it all the time!)

Corn syrup...

Hi, I have a quick question that I couldn't find on the old board! Since sugar is okay on the diet, I figure that corn syrup is fine, too. Why is it deemed unhealthy? I'm just asking because I like (considered a "munch food") fruit juices and candy for energy when I don't have time to eat better foo...

Re: lots of Encouragement!

Yeah, Blue Frog, that's a really good point! And, yeah (for anyone here who's not familiar with the U.S.), it's shocking to see how on either coast, there are more skinny and health-conscious people, while if you travel into the country (and not to make this political, but it's interesting that they...

Salt...

Quick question, concerning adding salt to the diet (i.e. not the sample diet): I remember Wai saying that if we eat a lot of salt, our bodies can deal with it by absorbing only a small amount, and vice versa. So if I suddenly added a LOT of salt to my diet, after a week or so (?), my body would have...
