Curlygirl, That's weird, I have noticed the same thing! I LOVE fat, too, but I know that if I pile on too much, I will eat double the sugar afterwards. Perhaps it has something to do with your body wanting a balance of fat and sugar...and if you consume extra fat, you'll want more sugar to balance i...

Jerry, There is a post in the old forum where Wai says that she doesn't think it makes a difference. Hope that helps! Eeks! Was I unfriendly to a family recently?? Ha ha, I sense a cultural war coming on! Remember that Americans are very prude about nudity compared to Europeans. The only time that w...

Avalon, I remember being extremely freaked out while eating my first big piece of raw fish...god, I was so scared! I remember feeling so adventurous. Then I realized how great I felt afterward, and I ran back to the store the next day to buy more! After a couple times, I started enjoying the ...

Slea, I know what you're saying. When I've been--happily--strict for a while, the only reason that I relapse is because it's difficult to abstain on a social level. Family, friends eating their regular meals. Afternoons hanging out with friends in cafes. Going out on dates...equals going out to dinn...

I went 20 days 100% straight a month ago and it made a huge difference. I couldn't hardly see it at all. So, I know that is the answer.
Slea, hooray!

(By the way, if you guys buy a Wai-friendly island and forget to tell me, I will be so pissed. I've packed and everything.)

NYC, baby! Represent!

Um, we have good sushi.
Unfortunately, it's looks strange to carry a crate of oranges on the subway. So I go grocery shopping EVERY DAY.

He he, notice we're all women. Do you guys think women have a more difficult time with cravings? You know...because of our constant flux of hormones? (and our "emotional issues"? kidding...even though that's what most women, at least in the U.S., think. Seems pretty unbelievable, knowing what we kno...

Hey Slea: Oh my god, speaking as someone who is equally sensitive, it is like drugs!! It took me a full year before I even attempted the Sample diet, because I was always "hooked" on SOMETHING--usually small stuff, like mayo and ranch dressing (which were the hardest to get rid of, because, like you...

Mmm, Corinne, that sounds good! I'll have to try that.

Also, the best "pasta sauce" is:
--chopped chives
--basil/or basil-flavored olive oil
--spoonful of unsalted tomato paste (the only munch food!)
--egg yolk

Mix together with "pasta" and enjoy. Better than any spaghetti I've ever had.

Sher, Yes, I can relate to your troubles with birth control! How long were you off of it for (before you had to go back on)? As you probably know, the first three months of it are the worst. Not only did my skin break out (mostly on my neck, for some reason), but emotionally, it was like having my w...

As far as the hair goes, I've noticed the same thing; but I like it. It is not so much limp as it is "sleek." I had very thick, wavy, and (probably because I colored it off and on) coarse hair. I cut that part off, and now I am letting my "new" hair grow in. It is very soft and very shiny. However, ...
