Thank you so much for the replies, people! Iris: I am vegan. I realize this is not really part of the Wai diet, but there you have it. Oscar: The spots are all located on the surface of the teeth that meet when I clench my jaws. That is, the top or bottom part rather than the sides. snowbunny: Thank...

Should I go to the dentist? (Vitamin D, fillings, et cetera)
I recently made a thread about teeth whitening, and thought I should start another one on a related topic, in case other WaiSays followers are facing similar issues. I have made some drastic lifestyles changes over the last year; I have been exercising very regularly, gone from being average to very...

Natural methods for getting whiter teeth
I feel like my teeth have a yellow tint to them since I started the Wai diet, and I would definitely like to get rid of it. There are a bunch of natural treatments posted online, which supposedly give you whiter teeth. These include apple cider vinegar, baking soda, oil pulling, et cetera. Just beca...

Protein content of home made cashew milk?
Hello, I like to make my own cashew milk, by grinding up the nuts and letting them sit in a bowl of water for some time. I then remove the mush from the solution, and drink the remaining milk. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the protein content of such a solution may be? Will I lose out...

Mouthwashes
A question to Oscar:
What are your thoughts on the use of mouthwashes? I personally use the Listerine version without flouride. It does, however, contain alcohol - could this be detrimental to my teeth?
Do you know about any non-toxic, natural alternatives to these mouthwashes?
Thanks,
A.

Sugar and glycemic index
1. What happens to the glycemic index of your orange juice, if you mix it with sugar? Does it get higher, meaning it is more likely to cause blood sugar spikes? 2. Are the carbs in white sugar different from the carbs in fresh fruits? You often hear that fresh fruits are good for you and white sugar...

Speaking about natural and synthetical supplements: What is the difference, anyway? Let's say I buy some pills at the drug store that contain vitamin B12. I believe this B12 must come from some natural source, or is it possible to synthesize "from scratch" in the lab? If the sources of the vitamin B...

Oscar and RRM: As always, thanks for the replies guys! I am experimenting with the combination of olive oil and honey, and I must say I am experiencing higher energy than I have ever experienced before, over long periods of time. Obviously I am not going anything new here, but just following the Wai...

Sugars in honey versus sugars in fruit juices
Does anybody know if you find the same kind of sugars in honey as you find in fruit juices? If they are different, which food's sugars are best when it comes to keeping blood sugar stable, those in honey or those in juices?

I am a bit confused here. I am trying to find the pH value of olive oil, but can't find it. I seem to remember that it is slightly acidic though. If this is correct, how could olive oil be good for the teeth? I thought that acidity in the mouth was very bad for teeth? So... 1. Do you know the pH val...

I believe you are right RRM, but I find it hard to bypass the teeth completely when drinking juice with a straw. Although I try to put the straw as far back in my mouth as possible, to keep it from reaching the teeth, usually a little juice makes it to the front of the mouth where it creates the typ...

Oil pulling
As you might have read in another thread I made, I am a bit worried about the effect that sipping sweet fruit juices thoughout the day can have on one's teeth. (I do however think that this routine makes you feel marvelous and it gives you tons of energy.) Most of you are probably taking olive oil w...

Oscar: Good point (regarding heated protein). I find it very unlikely that the spirulina pills are produced at low temperatures... RRM: Thanks a lot for the link, I had not seen it before. From reading the iodine article on Wikipedia I was under the impression that you could only get iodine from sea...
